The monthly Political
Planning Meeting is held at 5:30pm immediately before our
Delegates' Assembly (see www.mbclc.org for this month's location). All
delegates are encouraged to attend regularly and participate in forming
recommendations on political matters. This is a great opportunity for
those who want to go in-depth and have ongoing involvement in local
labor's political path. Drop-in's are welcome! Come if you are
curious and want to learn more.
County Caucus meetings vary
and are called by the Vice-Presidents of each county. County
Caucuses make recommendations on matters specific to their region. They
also meet with elected officials in their area. Caucus Meeting
information is faxed and emailed to principal officers of member
organizations, sent out in our monthly Delegates' eNewsletter and
announced at the Delegates' Assembly, when time permits.
The Committee on Political
Education (COPE) convenes on the same night as the monthly
Executive Board meeting. Delegates are welcome to attend. Contact the
Board President for more information: Robert Chacanaca

During Election Season,
Phonebank volunteers are always needed in Santa Cruz,
