SHORT
ESSAY
REQUIREMENT: In more
than 100 but less than 200 words, please
tell us: What does it mean for you to be part of a union family?.
In
answering this question, think about what work life, pay and health
care would
be for you or others in your family without union membership, and what
you have
learned from participation by your or your family member’s
participation in the
labor and/or other social justice movements.
The best answers will be those that give personal examples about
how
union membership makes a difference or about your family's direct
involvement
in the labor movement. We encourage you to talk with your family and
your
teachers about how to answer this question.
By submitting this essay, applicants agree that they become

property of MBCLC and may be published or otherwise circulated.
